Space entrepreneurship

I believe that the 21st century will be the century of space entrepreneurship. In the last couple of decades we have made incredible advances in technology in almost every field known to science. However our ability to take humans into space has remained largely unchanged for all that time. However that is all changing.

In the last year we have seen an incredible new spark of interest into space and its possibilities for the entrepreneur rather then the large government. The spear head of this movement has been the X-prize, A contest which gave a 10 million dollar prize to the first team that could take 3 people (or the equivalent) into space and back, twice, in a set period of time. When Space Ship One won the prize in late September of 2004 there was a sudden new upshot of popular interest in the concept of space tourism.

We are poised on the brink of a revolution in space travel and I plan to help the adventure by encouraging space entrepreneurship in as many forms as possible as well as leading by example and establishing space ventures of my own.
